Sales Manager, ForbesLive is a strategic role within the ForbesLive department responsible for supporting the revenue growth of the ForbesLive platform. This role is responsible for driving innovation and growth for the ForbesLive business and across Forbes integrated platforms to expand our global events footprint with key franchises and communities; Forbes Under 30, CMO, CIO, ForbesBLK, ForbesWomen, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the ForbesLive and Integrated Sales team to grow ForbesLive revenue
- Collaborate and build relationships across internal groups, acting as a ForbesLive expert to support the sales team, including but not limited to: sales and marketing, client partnerships, corporate communications, social, design, etc.
- Strategically build and manage prospect lists to grow a strong long-term pipeline, including the management of inbound lead requests
- Support in the tracking of ForbesLive revenue
- Work closely with the Integrated Sales team to oversee and manage the ForbesLive event contract process
- Support in the creation of pitch decks, one-sheeters, recap and marketing materials to bring the ForbesLive event offerings to life for existing and new clients
- Develop a deep understanding of the live events competitive landscape and industry trends across Forbes’ competitors
- Utilize creative and strategic thinking to help build unique experiences that communicate the power of the Forbes brand across communities and live event opportunities
- Responsible for understanding Forbes cross-platform offerings and be able to collaborate across teams on integrated client sponsored programs
The ideal candidate:
- 3-5 years’ experience in sales, events, or partnership role
- Ability to build and foster strong client relationships
- Self-starter who is proactive and eager to drive business results
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills, both internally and externally
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Suite and Google Docs/Sheets
- Knowledge of sales development tools, such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Media Radar, etc.
- Willing to travel and work nights and weekends when needed
- Proactive, highly organized and extremely detail-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work cross-departmentally, and in a client-facing capacity
- Maintains composure under pressure and highly adaptable
- Self-starter who will bring new, relevant ideas and concepts to the team
- Problem-solver, creative thinker and respectful of colleagues, peers and various points of view
The annual base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000
Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith. The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate. In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
