Job Description

Alps Alpine, a leading manufacturer of electronic components and automotive infotainment systems, has brought the world numerous "First 1" and "Number 1" products since its founding in 1948. The Alps Alpine Group currently operates 110 bases in 26 countries and regions, supplying roughly 40,000 different products and solutions to around 2,000 companies worldwide. Those offerings include devices such as switches, sensors, data communication modules, touch input panels, actuators, and power inductors; electronic shifters, remote keyless entry systems, and other automotive units; consumer electronics like car navigation and audio-visual systems; and systems and services such as digital keys based on a smartphone app and blockchain technology, and remote monitoring.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research on various projects, including competitors, identify content opportunities, monitor market trends, and share recommendations with leadership.
  • Independently lead and execute activities (such as sales, marketing, event projects, etc.) related to one or more projects or sub-projects to grow the business.
  • Actively and independently propose outlined tasks and deliverables within assigned areas.
  • Build relationships with project teams and managers, to help drive completion of high-quality project deliverables.
  • Create and actively manage spreadsheets and charts used to track and monitor project progress.
  • Take ownership and report on assignments by the Director of New Business Development and Marketing or brand leadership.
  • Manage, lead, and execute key New Business Development initiatives, follow up with responsible parties, and make sure projects are completed on time.
  • Lead in meaningful VOC (voice of customer) process by ensuring that valuable questions/data are created and captured to help support decisions.
  • Coordinate with key vendors or external partners, which could include advertising agencies, strategic partners, etc.
  • Track, collect, compile, and monitor assigned departmental business KPIs related to goals.

  • Uses internal (SAP) system to create/administrate/reconcile purchase orders, maintain budgets and work with the director to plan fiscal year budgets.
  • Positions that fall under the functions of Product Development, Legal, HR, IT, and Executive Management are required to exercise higher-level confidentiality and discretion in handling information the positions have access to.
  • Provide support toward the certification and ensure compliance to customer required quality management systems (TISAX, TS16949, IATF, etc)
  • Ensure punctual attendance per the defined work schedule and comply with the attendance policy for time reporting, break periods, and overtime if applicable.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; and two to three years related experience. Familiarity or experience in emerging trends such as EV mobility, metaverse, and portable audio devices is a plus.
