Acts as business operations business partner for a sales unit in the Strategic Client Group. Typically supports 1 GVP and up to 5 Sales Managers. Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance to support the organization's financial and tactical business objectives.
Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes. Act as a trusted business advisor to Sales leadership in assigned territory.
Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicators' actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide leadership with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor processes and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures. Served as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing.
In addition to partnering with a specific sales leader, we expect the successful candidate would lead and participate in regional and global improvement initiatives as required.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Run weekly forecast cadence
- Support sales leaders in quarterly business review preparation
- Collaborate with Sales & Finance on YoY territory adjustments
- Provide value-add business analysis to Sales leadership re: pipeline, forecast, performance to plan, etc.
- Ongoing territory administration
- Assist with onboarding of new sales personnel in assigned territory
- Collaborate with Finance on reconciling quarterly closes
- Assist with resolution of compensation issues
- Supports Finance in the yearly target / quota process
- 8+ years of professional experience in business operations or finance preferably in a multinational organization.
- Prior direct sales experience is a plus.
- Passion for data and numbers with a curious mind.
- Familiarity with corporate financial reporting and standard performance metrics.
- Strong analysis and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel User, exposure to APEX tool and Data Visualization (DV).
- Closure mindset, sense of urgency, Problem identification and solving skills.
- Able to meet challenging turnaround times in a fast-moving environment.
- Good relationship management skills, able to work across global teams.
- Experience in working across business units and with cross-functional collaboration
- Handles information with proper sensitivity and has a high sense of Business Ethics.
- Adaptable to change.
- Fluency in English, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
