This role partners with Sales Commissions and Operations Analysts, Managers and other functional areas to setup, manage and run processes to program, calculate and manage variable compensation as well as reporting for the Sales organization. This position exists to provide analysis of revenue, customer information, territory assignments and compensation payments for our LexisNexis North America sales channels. The main duties entail measuring performance and leading the implementation of important business decisions. This position will provide consistency, quality in data and reporting and will create synergies across the Sales Organization. This role leads process improvements as needed on an agile basis and secures training/backup of all departmental processes and responsibilities regarding variable compensation and sales operations. Leadership, excellent decision-making and creative solutioning are required to tackle moderate to complex operational issues that arise in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.

Accountabilities:
- Program Variable Compensation Plans into Commissions System to calculate Sales Rep Commissions every month
- Perform Data Loads into Commissions Systems to ensure timely and accurate monthly payments
- Perform monthly quality checks to improve accuracy rate of Sales Commissions Team
- Ensure data integrity/quality in NICE Compensation System to provide consistency in data and reporting
- Develop, Prepare and Deliver key monthly commission reports for LexisNexis North America & all Sales channels while tracking activity, contests & other incentives
- Identify and maintain a set of standard reports needed to assess the progress of the business, identify problem areas
- Lead in depth analysis to identify trends and take action where appropriate to address the analytical findings
- Understand compensation plans and what it takes to implement various components based on sales roles and relationship of organizational units and processes
- Work with Commissions and Operations Managers during product integrations for the department, from creation through delivery into production
- Work towards developing business processes and applications through the creation of requirement documents, end-user system design, and creation of test cases
- Perform User Acceptance Testing in addition to coordinating and leading training of internal and external customers
- Evaluate current systems and resources in support of continuous improvement projects
- Analyze inefficiencies in system performance and business processes to develop and implement solutions to increase the efficiency of the department
- Lead, plan and coordinate automation initiatives with internal and external resources as necessary to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
- Liaise between Sales Commissions, Operations, Finance, Sales and Segment teams and serve as an advocate for proposed operational initiatives
- Guide Sales management through understanding of variable compensation plans, rules, sales reporting, territory performance and make appropriate recommendations while identifying anomalies
- Handle contentious situations with Sales Representatives and management related to assignments, reporting and Variable Compensation
- Assist Variable Compensation analysts with all inquiries and submission to ensure proper VC payment
- Lead efforts of others to assist in project completion
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Requires undergraduate college degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics or relevant areas
- Requires 3-5 years related experience with the ability to complete financial and data analysis without direction
- Requires strong computer skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Applications including Excel, Access, SQL and ability to learn new systems
- Requires strong analytical skills using quantitative methodologies and ability to translate report results into actionable items
- Experience with NICE or other Variable Compensation systems and Salesforce.com is preferred
- Ability to organize information from multiple systems/reports into an integrated report to support a changing sales environment
- Broad understanding of the goals of Sales Commissions and how such goals fit into the approach and goals of the organization is preferred
- Ideal candidate is highly motivated, takes initiative, possesses strong oral and written communication skills and is able to effectively collaborate at all levels
- Creative problem solver, detail orientation and independent decision making capabilities are required for success in this role
- Demonstrates leadership, good judgement, self-motivated and exhibits time management skills while juggling multiple priorities efficiently
