What You Will Do

Trimble's Construction sector is looking for a highly motivated Sales Operations Manager to build out and lead the sales operations efforts of the Architecture and Design division.

The successful candidate has a proven track record of success in reporting and analyzing business trends and participating in strategic planning for the business. We seek candidates with broad technical skills (e.g., SFDC, Aria, Excel/Pivots, Data Visualization), strong financial acumen and eCommerce/Channel Partner experience.

The role will collaborate with stakeholders in creating efficiency, assessing performance, and reporting & delivering results.

The Sales Operations Manager must be a strong leader, self-directed, and well organized with the ability to develop the sales operations function and future team. This role will report directly to the head of Finance for the Architecture and Design division.
  • Strategic Planning: Determine potential by segment / industry / market etc.; design territories and account lists; segment accounts; build capacity plans to assist in organization design and planning.
  • Metrics & Pipeline Analysis: Analyze to understand the health of the sales funnel; make recommendations for improved sales strategies or data inefficiencies.
  • Sales Tools Automation: Automate processes to make the sales ops team and sales teams more efficient and focused on driving sales rather than on manual tasks.
  • Best Practice Implementation: Participate in project teams to support strategic business initiatives for growth and scale, including evaluation/optimization of CRM, setting business rules for IT configuration, determining appropriate business processes/policies, and facilitating change management process for the sales team.
  • Training Support: Assists in the development and execution of sales operations training for the Sales team, working closely with HR and sales leaders as needed.
  • Commissions: Lead process improvement efforts around the commission planning and maintenance process. Creation/management of all Sales Commission Plan documents, policies, and internal processes. Drive and partner with internal cross-functional teams to create, record, approve and communicate sales commission policies and procedures.
  • Executive Presence: Prepare and present executive summaries to Divisional and Sector leadership on a recurring basis.


What Skills and Experience You Should Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical focus: Finance, Business, Marketing, or related discipline
    • AND 5+ years of Sales Operations, Finance or other Operational capacity in technology/SaaS environment with progressing responsibilities
    • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and/or directing management of people
  • Proficiency in SFDC, Google Suite, Excel, Domo or Tableau preferred
  • Advanced communication skills (verbal, written, nonverbal); listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback
  • Advanced presentation skills to explain complex information to various group sizes and levels of knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, and drive cross-functional teams to meet common goals is essential
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence, and good judgment
  • Uses ethical principles to guide decisions and actions; demonstrates honesty and integrity in managing people and resources; and treats others with respect, fairness, and concern for their welfare
  • Identifies and resolves problems promptly and gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Well-organized, self-directed team player; remains open to others' ideas and exhibits a willingness to try new things
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and deals with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in interactions with co-workers, customers, vendors, and others


Pay Range: $80k - $132k/year

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
