Sales Operations Specialist
Job Description
As Sales Operations Specialist, you will be joining the Revenue Operations team in supporting a high growth, fast paced Revenue department. In this role, you will have a front-row seat contributing to the insights, operations, and strategy that enables the Revenue team to run better, faster, and smarter. The work will range from supporting the sales and business development teams execute on our go-to-market strategies to optimizing quoting/contracting to engaging with senior leadership to drive significant value by providing KPI metrics.
As a member of the Revenue Operations team reporting directly to the Director of RevOps, you will be instrumental in refining our deal playbook and processes. We are looking for a self-starter to join our team, someone who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a fast-growing environment, and solving problems with limited oversight. The Sales Operations Specialist will support sales across all elements of an opportunity’s quote to cash lifecycle (Deal Structure, Forecasting, Quote creation and approval, Sales Order Forms, Revenue & legal review and compliance).
Important tasks related to the Sales Operations Specialist are:
- Provide sales operational support, including territory management, KPI reporting, account and opportunity management, and rules of engagement decisions
- Provide deal structure guidance to sales; identify and recommend changes to pricing and deal structures
- Support our forecasting cadence
- Provide Deal Desk support for Sales teams
- Provide ad hoc analysis on top of funnel metrics, pipeline trends, account segmentation and sales activity
- Become the subject matter expert and resource for our salesforce and sales technology tools
- Own our Salesforce data quality for the Sales team, including data migrations and maintaining overall day to day data integrity
- Work on strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue and sales productivity
- Maintain and enhance sales software and their connection with Salesforce
- Track deals through their lifecycle, from first meeting to invoice
- Ensure all relevant deal information is captured in Salesforce
- Use initiative to drive improvements and best practices within the team
- Create, refresh and maintain price lists/structures based on product enhancements and market learnings and development
- Serves as primary point of contact to support the sales team
- Build and maintain key documentation regarding our policies, sale processes, and requirements
- 2 - 4 years of experience on Sales support role
- Strong analytical skills and experience with profitability analysis and pricing strategy
- Comfortable communicating with Executive level decision makers
- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales process (bookings, billings and reporting)
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Excellent communicator, self-aware, transparent, collegial, and open to feedback
- Ability to multitask and prioritize at times of high volume, schedule flexibility during End of Month, End or Quarter
- Excellent command of Excel and G-Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Prior experience in SalesOps or RevOps is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Enterprise Software industry in a Deal Desk, Finance, or Sales Operations role experience
- Robust knowledge of Salesforce
- Experience with Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) systems
