Sales Representative

We are currently hiring a Sales Representative at our Champaign, IL location!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Generates sales by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
• Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
• Develops sales opportunities by building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and identifying new revenue streams with Business Partners.
• Fills orders by entering orders in AS400 portal, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining back orders.
• Focus on new product placement and program execution with assigned territory.
• Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history, credit limits, suggesting related and new items, and explaining features, advantages, and benefits of Horizon proprietary and distributed brands.
• Maintains and improves brand performance by sharing feedback from Business partners.
• Updates job knowledge by studying new product spec sheets, attending weekly product training meetings and participating in educational opportunities designed to improve overall business knowledge.
• Accomplishes department and organization goals by focusing on company defined KPI's.
• Perform other duties as assigned
