Axogen is hiring for an Area Sales Manager in Ft. Myers, FL!Â
Job Summary of the Sales Representative
The Sales Representative will work with Area Managers to achieve sales revenue targets and grow market share for a specified territory by promoting, selling and servicing Axogen’s portfolio of nerve repair products. The Sales Rep will also practice good, ethical territory management in terms of organization, planning administration and expense planning and control. They need to increase sales and revenue by aggressively targeting and developing existing as well as new accounts. The Sales Rep will also train appropriate medical staff on AxoGen products and procedures as well as meet expectations as defined by the Sales Management Team.Â
Requirements of the Sales RepresentativeÂ
- Bachelor’s degree requiredÂ
- 2+ years sales experience; medical device experience preferredÂ
- Computer literacya; good written and verbal communication skills are a must.Â
- Willing to do overnight travel as necessaryÂ
Responsibilities of the Sales Representative
- Develop and maintain accurate account and territory records
- Effectively manage time to ensure maximum coverage of targeted accounts within territory in order to achieve optimum level of exposure and results
- Develop and act on plans which identify growth opportunities within current and competitive customer accountsÂ
- Manage field inventory to optimally balance availability of product with inventory costsÂ
- Control and manage expenses in the most cost effective manner for the companyÂ
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external key decision makers, customers and their staff, administrative staff, etc.Â
- Plan, implement and deliver effective sales/product presentations to customers, defining objectives and measuring successÂ
- Probe to understand and confirm customers’ needs, handle objections and gain commitmentÂ
- Proactively develop knowledge, skills and abilities in all relevant areas i.e. clinical, technical, product and sales skillsÂ
- Participate in product and skill development programs and activities such as classroom education, role playing, on-th-job training, and other relevant activities that assist in the development of the team and yourselfÂ
- Adherence with all company policies and procedures i.e. Sunshine Act, AdvaMed, etc.Â
- Compliance with all safety standards, policies and regulationsÂ
- Compliance with all company policies, procedures and SOPsÂ

Benefits/Compensation
The anticipated target compensation for base plus commission is ~$120k (uncapped).Â

Field Sales Base Salary
$65,000—$65,000 USD
Axogen is on a hybrid work schedule for some of our positions based out of our headquarters in Florida, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The hybrid work schedule does not include sales or facilities in Ohio or Texas.
Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
