Together, we're working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world's biggest health challenges.Job SummaryThe Sales Specialist for Life Sciences will develop and execute successful sales strategies for rapid revenue growth and market share expansion in territory. Work collaboratively with Sales, Service and Applications counterparts to achieve Leica Biosystems performance targets while exceeding customer expectations.Major Responsibilities
- The Sales Specialist will achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory while working in coordination with the local assigned team within their territory.
- The Sales Specialist will maintain accurate and timely opportunity funnel and customer data in SFDC with coaching as needed.
- The associate will achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance and coordinate product demo, installs, and customer training with support from manager and/or mentor.
- Work with prospective and current customers to increase Leica Biosystems' influence and presence across territories.
- Monitor and develop awareness of competitive activities and strategies.
- Utilize Strategic Selling tools (Blue sheets) with mentorship and guidance.
- Develop on products, DBS, LBS Tools (such as DOMO, Showpad, Territory Business Reviews).Competencies/Behaviors

- Minimum 3-5 years relevant sales (or equivalent experience)
- Proven time management skills
- Proven contract negotiation and high-level selling experience, or selling in a matrixed environment
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- 50-75%
- Must Possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to travel overnight for territory coverage (if applicable) and/or for company meetings
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position will require heavy travel by car and flying in and out of airports with possible long wait times.
