Summary
This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Jimmy Carter Presidential Library. This position serves as a visitor services representative and a sales store clerk at the Library. This position handles online ticketing, admissions, responds to visitor inquiries, shows orientation film, makes sales of merchandise at the museum sales store desk, and performs a variety of clerical duties in support of onsite activities.

Conditions of Employment
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. - A one year probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
- Work is primarily performed while standing or sitting and requires bending, reaching, and lifting and carrying medium-weight materials.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: For the GS-04, you may qualify with one year of general experience. General experience for this position includes:
- One full year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
OR
- EDUCATION: You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: Completion of 2 years above high school.
OR
- COMBINATION: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.
Additional information

- This is a bargaining unit position, AFGE Council 260.
- The incumbent will be performing tours and speaking to large audiences.
- Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
- Work Schedule is Part Time - Must be able to work variable days and hours as needed including covering call offs, evenings, vacations, holidays and weekends.
- The position is a temporary appointment. Time limited not to exceed 1 year but could be less. (Appointment expected to last for a specified period not to exceed 1 year.)
