Job Description
What you can expect as the Sales Support Intern:
Assist the sales teams by providing support on numerous projects within the team. Support efforts to increase overall effectiveness and efficiency of the sales support team in order to increase sales and overall bottom line results for the Sammons Financial Group Member Companies. Work collaboratively with internal departments to fulfill needs and requests.
- Assist recruits and Regional Sales Directors (RSD) with data mining.
- Run reports via Salesforce.
- Track any potential sales contest and incentives, both externally to agents or internally, for the sales team representatives.
- Assist with making outbound calls to agents and marketers.
- Proactively increase knowledge of fixed annuity industry and competitor offerings.
- Participate in an energetic, supportive team environment to meet and exceed assigned goals in a high performance culture.
- Order supplies for agents.
What we are looking for:
- Individuals in their 1st or 2nd year pursuing their Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work efficiently and independently
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence others
- Knowledge of the sales process

Our Internship program is designed to give students experience with projects and performing tasks within their hired work area. You will be exposed to other areas within the organization by participating in development, culture and volunteer events. This paid internship is 10+ weeks in length with the possibility of extending hours into the school year.
Our internship program holds an 80/10/10 approach, meaning that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area. Another 10% of the time, you will be exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division to get more corporate experience. Then, the final 10% will be spent in shared experiences across the organization, where you will get to really learn about our culture and work environment.
