Role
The Sales Support Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that the sales team has the opportunity to remain focused on selling by providing outstanding customer service and support. Responsibilities of the Specialist will include mapping, research, data mining & analytics, and the use of several tools in support of the sales go to market strategy. It is imperative that the Specialist works closely with the sales leaders, salespersons, and various other departments to increase sales performance and ultimately drive revenue.
Responsibilities
- Create presentation-quality maps to support the business.
- Create, update, and maintain geographic data using QGIS.
- Daily work creating information products & reports using QGIS, Microsoft Office Suite and various other tools to evaluate account modules and qualify leads.
- Assist in maintaining online mapping dashboards and databases.
- Use data mining & analytics to drive additional sales by aligning with strategic initiatives.
Expectations
- Knowledge of the telecommunications/wireless industry preferred.
- Commits to action that drives success in operational projects or other business metrics.
- Demonstrates technical ability and desire to develop skills through business application.
- Knowledge of GIS tools such as QGIS, ESRI products and Google Earth Pro.
- Knowledge of GIS data formats such as: Shapefiles, Geodatabases, KML, GeoPackage, etc
- Customer service orientation with a robust problem-solving approach.
- Some Model Builder and Python experience and/or a keen interest and ability to learn quickly.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM systems preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to comfortably use Excel.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution
- Preferred field(s) of study: Geography/GIS or related field
Organizational Relationship
Reports to: Manager, Sales Support
Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
