Job Summary

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Development Team Lead to join our growing sales organization. As the SDR Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Sales Development Representatives who are tasked with generating new business opportunities and qualifying leads through strategic outreach and engagement. You will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of Sales Development Representatives.
    • Set clear objectives and performance expectations for the team and individuals, and actively monitor and manage performance against targets.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews to support the professional development of team members.
  2. Strategy and Planning:
    • Collaborate with the sales leadership team to develop and refine sales strategies, tactics, and processes to drive pipeline growth and revenue generation.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and optimize sales approaches.
    • Develop and implement effective outbound prospecting campaigns and initiatives to target key market segments and verticals.
  3. Process Optimization:
    • Continuously evaluate and optimize the sales development process to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices for lead generation, qualification, and handover to the sales team.
    • Utilize sales enablement tools and technology to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Foster strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, including sales,customer success, marketing, and product, to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.
    • Partner with marketing to develop compelling messaging, content, and campaigns to support lead generation efforts.
    • Work closely with sales leadership to ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities to the sales team, maintaining clear communication and documentation.
  5. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
    • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, including lead conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and revenue attribution.
    • Use data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and make recommendations for optimization.
    • Prepare regular performance reports and presentations for senior management, providing visibility into the SDR team's impact on business outcomes.

 

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a SDR Team leader or above in a relevant job description. Experience running virtual teams is a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and best practices, particularly in a consultative sales environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to manage varying skills of employees
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and delegation skills
  • Ability to deal with conflict and disciplinary issues in a positive and timely fashion
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Commitment to get the job done
  • Excellent leadership skills
