BillionToOne's first product, UNITY™ is the first and only non-invasive prenatal test that can directly screen an unborn baby and assess the risk for common and severe recessive gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities, as well as fetal sex and fetal antigens, from a single tube of blood from the pregnant mother without paternal testing.

In 2023, BillionToOne launched two liquid biopsy products that will markedly improve oncology treatment and care. With Northstar Select™, clinicians will be able to select cancer therapies that will be most effective to each patient based on their individual genetic makeup. Northstar Response™ will enable clinicians to monitor a patient’s early response to these cancer therapies, by measuring minute changes in their ctDNA, which can reduce ineffective treatments and unwanted toxicity, lower costs, and substantially improve clinical outcomes.

The Sales Training Manager is a dynamic individual who will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of training programs for our sales employees. This includes designing, delivering, and evaluating training sessions and materials, as well as managing the training budget and resources.

The Manager of Training will work closely with the leadership team to assess training needs and goals, and will be responsible for ensuring that training programs align with the company’s overall business objectives.  They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of employee training and development, and for tracking the success of training programs.  The Manager of Training will be responsible for creating dynamic content for new hires as well as tenured Sales Account Executives in need of continuing education with clinical information, product information, and sales skills.  The role requires a forward-thinking, dynamic, and structured thinker.  They should also be highly organized and be able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

This is a remote role that requires quarterly field travel and in-person training.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess current and future training needs for ongoing development
  • Demonstrate creativity in deploying a wide variety of trainings that meet the needs of the UNITY Sales Team and creates opportunity for all types of learning modalities
  • Coordinate and facilitate all new hire sales training for the UNITY Sales Team
  • Lead virtual and in-person trainings
  • Create all educational content for sales team including continuing education, new product training, sales-skills training, etc. 
  • Measure output and assess outcomes in order to enhance employee understanding, skill sets, performance, and productivity; ensure success and ROI
  • Manage Training budget
  • Work closely with Sales Directors, Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, Field Sales Trainers, Marketing, and Senior VP of Sales to ensure all goals and company objectives are met via the foundational and continuing education required to ensure successful sales associates

Requirements:

  • 5+ years clinical sales experience (preferably in diagnostics or CLIA-based environment)
  • 2+ years experience designing and delivering clinical sales training programs in a corporate setting; prior focus delivering genetics or diagnostics-based training content preferred
  • Skilled in instructional design and adult learning theory
  • Excellent (verbal and written) communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Strong group-facilitation skills
  • Ability to quickly learn video-editing platforms 
  • Experience with Showpad or similar learning platform
  • Go-getter attitude that performs well under stress, is exceptional at planning, while also being able to edit plans without notice 
  • 4-yr College Degree

For this position, the base pay range is: $140,000 to $170,000 per year
