Job Description

The Senior Salesforce Administrator will lead the ongoing development of our salesforce.com deployment and integrated applications. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes, data governance, and efficiency. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes including: sales, marketing, customer success, product, and more. This role is part technical project manager, part administrator, and part developer. The Senior Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CRM platform.

OnBoard is headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, yet this is a remote role. We are a highly collaborative environment and support one another during core hours through both Teams and Zoom communication channels. This position is open to remote applicants living and authorized to work in the United States. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.   


What You’ll Do: 

  • Perform all the roles of the Salesforce CRM administrator including managing and maintaining databases, managing licenses and permisisons, installing 3rd party applications, create custom fields/objects/workflows, create and maintain automations using Flows, develop and test new functionality, provide department leaders with best practices and expertise to solve problems and achieve desired outcomes, and more.
  • Lead the Salesforce Operations Committee comprising of operations leaders from sales, marketing, and customer success to approve and prioritize Salesforce initiatives
  • Manage data entry workflows and maintain data integrity (i.e. updating ownership, managing duplicates, missing data, ensuring data is properly segmented for targeting purposes).
  • Working with leadership to create and manage complex workflow rules, data validation, and triggers.
  • Develop and document training content as reference for new hires and existing team members on changes to the system.
  • Serve as primary support for all teams to assist with questions on internal systems and workflows.
  • Document and maintain potential new solutions or enhancements to existing solutions, as well as document business processes, and functional requirements.
  • Expand use of Salesforce.com – attend planning meetings, assist with determining if Salesforce can be used in new ways as opposed to purchasing a new system.
  • Cleanse and update an aging Salesforce instance to meet best practices and improve data governance and cleanliness.

 

What You Bring: 

  • 3+ years of Salesforce administration experience.
  • 2 years of direct sales, marketing, and customer success experience or related operations experience, especially with a familiarity with business to business SaaS processes and sales cycles.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification required
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC and have successfully expanded on those capabilities through the use of custom code (Apex, s-controls) and/or integration with external systems.
  • Strong experience on implementing and improving data governance and cleanliness to existing Salesforce instances
  • Expert organization and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of how real world sales, customer success, and marketers operate in order to apply intuitive and adoptable processes
  • Drive to never settle for the status quo and always looking at how to improve processes and automations
  • Previous experience improving an existing Salesforce configuration to provide solutions for reporting, workflows and enhanced functions.
  • Familiarity with a host of 3rd party applications similar to Seismic, Gong, Salesloft, InsightSquared, ChurnZero, 6Sense, Cloudingo, Cognism, DocuSign, Marketo, NetSuite, ZoomInfo, Zendesk
