Are you a tech savvy, self-starter that loves to perform day-to-day support, configuration, maintenance and improvement to the Salesforce platform?  Do you like gathering business requirements from users and stakeholders to support enhancements and upgrades? Then the Salesforce Administrator may be the role for you! You will be responsible for day-to-day support, configuration, maintenance and improvement to the Salesforce platform and more. You will partner closely with the PMO team to implement enhancement requests, complete bug fixes and day to day management of the Salesforce platform to ensure optimal operational support.

A successful candidate for this role is proactive, collaborative, curious, a critical thinker and can guide and train business users on Salesforce best practices.  You are organized, demonstrate a strong attention to detail and have an in-depth understanding of the Salesforce supporting system infrastructure, data, configuration development tools within the broader scope of this ecosystem. You are comfortable with change management and governance, as well as communicating, prioritizing and managing all aspects of a Salesforce project.  You can provide consultative direction to stakeholders at all levels at Gas South, translating technical information into layman’s terms, explaining design options and the potential impact.  You can see and understand the big picture, but work through the small details that will lead to successful updates and implementations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business or related field
  • 4-7 Years of Salesforce Administrator experience.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certificate and Cloud Certifications preferred
  • Trailhead Badges/Super Badges
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce standard object model
  • Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) experience
  • Experience with Visualforce, Apex, Lightning components and triggers
  • Experience with Salesforce.com Web Services APIs - Force.com SOAP and REST-based Web Service APIs, the Bulk API, and the Metadata API.
  • Experience in creating custom objects, validation rules, workflows, process automation, reporting, and dashboards
  • Salesforce configuration changes, including but not limited to: Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports
  • Experience in other third-party tools commonly connected to Salesforce is a plus (i.e. eSignature solutions, data tools, backup and restore apps, etc.)
  • Automated DevOps/release management experience
  • Knowledge of social communities and requirements gathering process preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile based methodology

More details on what you would be responsible for:  

  • Manage the Salesforce platform – day-to-day maintenance, support, upgrades, environment management, governance, testing. Partner and coordinate with product owners to schedule and execute production releases.
  • Assist in the development of Salesforce reports, analytics, and dashboards to support and monitor activity as well as key performance metrics. Assist with data analysis, data scrubbing and repair as needed.
  • Work closely with product owner to understand the enhancement requests and lead the design, configuration, testing and deployment through implementation. Demonstrate and provide information about the new Salesforce features as they are released by the Salesforce.
  • Maintain accurate and effective documentation of business processes, SOPs, test cases, including all changes and inquiries from product owner in SFDC ticket system with proof of completion for audit purposes.
  • Work with product owner and assist in prioritization of work in the SFDC ticket system based on user need analysis and executes changes or escalates to IT for support
  • Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer
