Employment Type:
- Contract opportunity through a 1099 or Corp to Corp arrangement with the ability to be a full-time W-2 employee if desired. (direct only - no 3rd party placement companies, please).
Location:
- This position has the ability to be 100% remote from anywhere in the United States. If you are local to Des Moines, IA this position may work within the Zirous office, located in West Des Moines, IA.
Requirements
What you would be doing:
The Salesforce Apex Developer develops code and provides technical support in adherence to company standards, policies and procedures. They apply unique aptitude for a specific applicable technical skill as needed. Specific responsibilities include:
- Develops code consistent with specifications and performs unit testing of such code
- Utilizes professional discretion to make technical decisions that guide projects.
- Independently utilizes professional discretion to achieve project goals with minimal oversight.
- Provides technical support to internal and external customers.
- Participates in formal unit and or integration testing for deliverables as required by projects.
- Communicates clearly in writing and verbally the specific logic involved in assigned tasks
- Proactively researches, learns, and applies new technology and methods to solve assigned tasks.
- Participate in Technical Requirements gathering sessions, collaborate to provide documentation around design, customizations, integration, data migration and testing.
- Collaborate with Technical Architect to deliver well architected and secure solutions that best leverage SFDC and SFDX platforms.
- Deliver module(s) within a workstream from a technical perspective including customization, programming, on SFDC and SFDX Platforms.
- Demonstrate built capabilities to product manager as part of application development.
- Support testing teams and deliver documentation required for Quality Processes in a Regulated industry.
- Participate in CI/CD/Release Management, Identification of risks and issues from a technical perspective.
- Assist production support teams for escalated incident resolution.
- Adhere to best practices, perform peer code reviews, and ensure appropriate design patterns are being followed.
- Work closely with Project Managers & Technical Leads to ensure successful project implementation.
- Provide expert and specialized hands-on technical support, consultation and coaching to clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Customization and development experience in Salesforce.com platform with exposure to Sales or Service Clouds
- 5 years of professional development experience
- Ability to code from scratch within Apex, Visualforce (VF), and experience with the Lightning platform
- Experience in using Lightning App Builder, Flow Builder, Apex, Triggers, API, LWC, SOQL, Visual Force and Data migration tools.
- Experience using a DevOps tooling with Salesforce.com platform.
- Experience designing and developing custom Salesforce platform and custom Salesforce applications
- Salesforce certifications in one or more areas preferred (Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Platform App Developer, JavaScript Developer)
- Experience in Additional Salesforce Clouds (Health Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
- Experience customizing and/or integrating with App Exchange Products/ third party Apps
- Experience with refactoring and maintaining legacy systems
- Comfortable with basic Salesforce admin duties
- Ability to analyze performance issues arising and provide a remediation plan for custom code running on Salesforce.com platform.
- Experience in Salesforce.com reports and dashboards.
- Ability to balance multiple assignments and deadlines at same time.
- Strong written and oral communication skills (timely, clear, concise, accurate, conclusive targeted to audience).
- 5 years of experience with the Salesforce product suite including Salesforce1, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, App Cloud, Communities and AppExchange solution
- Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and the ability to work effectively with staff and clients.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and be able to debug and analyze issues to resolution.
- The ability to interact with clients in order to maintain good standing which includes, but is not limited to; assisting in gathering requirements, answering questions, and participating in implementations.
- Position will work closely with other team members to accomplish company, client and personal goals.
- Will work to understand the company's business including vendor relationships, company divisions, and how to best support them.
