Salesforce Architect
Job Description
Over one million people in the world today are fighting blood cancer. While a traditional allogeneic stem cell transplant has been the best hope for many patients, the transplant itself can prove fatal or lead to serious conditions, such as graft versus host disease.
Orca Bio's investigational, high-precision cell therapies are designed to replace a patient's compromised blood and immune system with a healthy one, while dramatically lowering the risk of developing life-threatening or debilitating transplant-related side-effects. The first application of Orca Bio’s platform is in blood cancer where the unmet need is most acute; with a robust pipeline of promising cell therapies, we plan to extend into autoimmune diseases and genetic blood disorders as well.
Summary:
We are seeking a talented Salesforce Architect to spearhead the implementation of the 2nd generation of our Orca Link platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Salesforce architecture, with a proven track record of building scalable solutions in complex environments. Additionally, experience in API-based integration, particularly interfacing with API developers, and a solid understanding of the healthcare industry, including compliance standards such as 21 CFR, HIPAA/PHI, are highly desirable.
Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of COTS and custom features and functionalities within the Orca Link platform ecosystem, leveraging functionality from integrated systems as well as Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, etc.
- Support the integration of the Orca Link platform with external systems and APIs, working closely with API developers to ensure seamless data exchange
- Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, promoting knowledge sharing and adherence to architectural principles
- Conduct regular code reviews and perform quality assurance checks to maintain code integrity and optimize performance
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the Orca Link platform ecosystem

- Strong proficiency in Salesforce development tools and technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex solutions on the Salesforce platform, with a focus on scalability and maintainability
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders and third party developers
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience as both a Salesforce developer and architect
- Experience with API-based integration and interfacing with API developers to facilitate data exchange between systems
- Background in the healthcare industry, particularly in hospital, clinical, or biopharmaceutical settings
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as 21 CFR compliance, HIPAA/PHI regulations, and other relevant healthcare standards
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Salesforce architecture or related areas are a plus
The anticipated annual salary range for this U.S. based job is $150,000– $200,000. The final offer will be based on professional experience previously in this role/industry, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. For remote-based candidates, this range may vary based on your local market.
