As a Salesforce Architect, you'll be a pivotal player in Cerity Partners' technology strategy, driving the evolution of our Salesforce ecosystem to support our rapid growth and expansion. You'll work within the Shared Services Technology Team, collaborating closely with the Salesforce Platform Manager, Data Engineering team, and other stakeholders to ensure our Salesforce infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligns with our business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architectural Vision: Design and implement a strategic architectural vision for Salesforce to ensure it is scalable and can adapt to Cerity Partners' growing needs.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with the CRM team and other stakeholders to design, architect, and validate solutions that integrate Salesforce with other systems.
  • Best Practices & Standards: Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and guidelines for Salesforce development and configuration.
  • Integration: Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure seamless data flow and integration between Salesforce and other platforms.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to the CRM team, helping them to implement best practices and understand complex architectural concepts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating their needs into actionable technical requirements and ensuring that the solutions developed align with business objectives.
  • Governance: Lead the governance processes related to Salesforce, including design reviews, architecture decision records, and technical debt assessments.
  • Technical Issue Investigation: Assist troubleshooting complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions and root cause analysis.
  • Roadmap Strategy: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define, prioritize, and manage the Salesforce and integration roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of Salesforce's latest capabilities, features, and best practices to ensure Cerity Partners remains at the forefront of Salesforce technology.

Ideal Candidate Profile - "Our Casting Call!"

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and implementing solutions on Salesforce Sales, Service Cloud or Industry platforms.
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications, with a strong preference for Domain Architect certifications.
  • Deep understanding of both programmatic (Apex, Lightning Web Components) and declarative tools within Salesforce.
  • Proven experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, and a comprehensive understanding of the Salesforce platform's limits.
  • An appreciation of cloud technology beyond the Salesforce platform and how it can be leveraged as part of a holistic solution delivery mechanism.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of Salesforce administrators and developers, fostering best practices and promoting a user-centric approach.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a user-first mindset.
  • Excellent business communication skills, capable of working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Active participation in the Salesforce community, with a continuous learning mindset.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus, but not mandatory.

The Team

Shared Services Technology is a department within Cerity Partners that focuses on internal tool development at Cerity Partners. We tackle big projects like building data integrations between 20 different systems using Linux and Python hosted on Azure, creating contract processing automation within Salesforce, building custom revenue split tracking tools, data warehousing, and more. We are currently 25 people strong, with 8 of those colleagues focused on Salesforce.

We use Salesforce to help teams execute operational tasks quickly and accurately, such as client onboarding, new account opening, data sharing, and more.
