Job Description
Ibotta is seeking a Salesforce Architect to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. The Salesforce Architect creates solution designs and drives implementation of solutions together with the Salesforce squads. The architect will both be the lead for ongoing efforts and contribute ideas and suggestions for new projects as part of the Architecture team. This position will work closely with business and technology leaders across the company. It is a director-level position, with broad responsibilities and high executive visibility.
Ibotta uses Salesforce.com to support Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Operations. There are extensive integrations with in-house and purchased applications, mostly hosted on AWS. Many of Ibotta’s core business functions are implemented in Salesforce.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing:Â
Understand business processes and needs across the breadth of the internal departments that depend on Salesforce features and/or data.
See the big picture, constantly imagining future scenarios, and creating strategies to sustain competitive advantage
Design solutions for major projects that solve strategic business problems.
Guide the implementation of designs from requirements to launch, mentoring engineers and administrators as they implement, update, and maintain your solutions.
Work closely with business teams, the Salesforce teams, Operations, Billing and Budgeting, and other AWS engineering teams to design and implement solutions within and connected to Salesforce.
Own the technical aspects of Salesforce, and all of the integrations with it.
Support the Product Manager with knowledge and proofs of concepts for future projects.
Contribute to Ibotta Architecture as a whole through reviews and participation in roadmapping and cross functional initiatives.

Create Solution Designs & Architectures
Descriptive Overview
User Experience flow
Data model diagrams
Other diagrams and designs as appropriate, like Business Process Models, data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, data conversion/migration plans
Definition of API calls and Events
Identify solution options and sometimes create Proofs of Concept to enable decision making between options
Create Epics for implementation
Implement Solution Designs
Support business process changes
Work with implementation squads to communicate and improve solution designsÂ
Review Apex classes, lightning web components, REST API’sÂ
Work with stakeholders to review designs and demos and incorporate feedback
Ensure integrations are reliable, secure, and recoverable
Protect Ibotta assets, including data, intellectual property, documentation, and Salesforce config
Participate in implementation team agile ceremonies and Architecture team initiatives
What we are looking for:
10 + years of Engineering experience including 5 + years of Salesforce.com experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or engineering required
Designed and implemented multiple complex solutions on Salesforce.com
Excellent communication skills; comfortable working with senior leadership as well as junior team members
Capable of communicating complex technical solutions to business stakeholders and translating business needs into technical specifications for developers and administrators
Salesforce configuration experience and development experience with Apex and Lightning Aura Components or Lightning Web Components
Solid understanding of overall Lightning architecture, especially platform events
Background working with Agile Scrum methodology; familiarity with Jira or similar tool
Experience building custom solutions on Force.com platform using standard and custom objects, APEX web services, SOQL, SOSL, REST APIs, and events
Experience with integrating data and features across Salesforce and other platforms or systems
Strong history with development languages, scripts and frameworks: Java, JavaScript, Ruby or python, and database query languages (SQL or no-SQL)Â
Solid understanding of Engineering best practices, such as source control, code review, testing, and CI/CD.
Experience with Quote-to-Cash applications like Salesforce CPQ is highly desirable
Full stack web development expertise is a plus
Engineering experience on AWS is a plus
Required Salesforce Certifications: Administrator, Platform Developer 1, Platform App Builder I & II; Applications Architect is a plus

 Additional Details:
This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity.
Base compensation range: $185,000-$220,000. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.Â
