As a Salesforce Business Analyst at Octo you would support a multi-year high-profile software development project in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This position is expected to have a strong background in Salesforce analysis to support a high-demand customer success environment.

Program Mission…

The Digital Transformation Center (DTC) supports Veterans Affairs (VA) with onboarding and maintaining enterprise SaaS and PaaS solutions used to support the mission of serving our Veterans and their associated stakeholders. We are digitizing information and processes for improved implementation leveraging modern tools and low code/no code for reusability and faster delivery.

Responsibilities…

  • Document system changes configurations and frameworks.
  • Provide analysis for system design and redesign.
  • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to elicit specifications and requirements to develop innovative solutions.
  • Prepare functional documents and requirements review with the stakeholders and obtain sign off.
  • Assist with Quality Testing including creating Test Scripts and Training artifacts.
  • Work directly with and serve as the liaison between business teams technology teams and support teams.
  • Translate requirements and artifacts to agile user stories.
  • Assist in quality assurance and contribute to the testing and debugging of solutions as needed.

Years of Experience: 2+ years of Salesforce Business Analysis experience.

Education: BA/BS degree required.

Location: Remote within the United States. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.

Clearance: Ability to obtain government clearance. Must be eligible to work in the United States.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree required or requisite experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with equally adept critical thinking abilities.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to define a reliable and accurate work product.
  • Experience establishing documenting and maintaining procedures and processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Salesforce Certified (Business Analyst preferred).
  • Experience working in iterative agile environment.
  • Ability to QA Salesforce Solutions.
  • Understand all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities including all changes and potential system implications related to releases.
  • 2 years as a Salesforce Business Analyst.
  • Must be able to use a computer.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain government clearance. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
