About the Opportunity
DMI is currently seeking to hire a Salesforce Developerto support a Federal Government customer in the DC metro area. This salesfroce developer will provide support for an enterprise web-based system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform.
- Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce to support business requirements,
- Application development, including basic Visualforce pages/Lightning pages, Lightning Web Components, assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code,
- Application testing (unit and systems), and debugging
- Contributing to technical documentation
- Collaborating with the Salesforce Administrator to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits)
- Develop, test, document, and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation using Salesforce declarative or programmatic development resources such as triggers, workflows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components.
- Strong Salesforce customization and configuration experience (at least 1 or more of the following five Salesforce modules: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce communities' knowledge.
- Perform hands-on configuration of all new and existing functionality including user management, security, custom objects, page layouts, validations, workflow, flows, process builders, reports and dashboards and customized applications to support internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment
- Awareness of platform limitations and can implement solutions to mitigate them (ie. tie together process builder and flows to overcome basic limitations of process builder)
- Handles change set deployments
- Understands basics of process builder and OmniScripts.
- Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
- Concept of data normalization and entity relationships
- Understands and manages multiple record types, compact/page layouts based on business processes and requirements
- Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
- Expert understanding of CI/CD processes and integration concepts in an enterprise IT software development environment.
- Experience with Salesforce Dev Ops automation CI/CD tools (GITHUB, Bit Bucket, Copado, Azure DevOps)
- Implemented complex Salesforce DevOps pipeline for Salesforce releases with Copado
- Excellent knowledge of code deployment version conflict resolution
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field preferred
- Salesforce product knowledge and at least 8+ years of Salesforce development experienc
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I or Administrator
- Strong experience working with Salesforce APIs
- Experience implementing and developing in Apex, LWC, Visualforce
- Ability to problem solve high-level software and application issues.
- Proficient with Salesforce Lightning Design System and the Salesforce development lifecycle.
- Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
