How will your role impact First Command?

The Salesforce Developer is a leader across the development organization that specializes with the various Salesforce Cloud platforms. They work closely with members across teams and with business owners and leaders. In conjunction with development responsibilities, the Salesforce Developer establishes and champions best practices and processes specific to Salesforce. Salesforce Developers are self-motivated individuals who have strong time management skills which facilitates working on special interest initiatives.

What will you be doing?

• Participates in all phases of development across all Salesforce Clouds
• Establishes and champions Salesforce coding, testing, design standards/best practices
• Communicate and work alongside members of their team in support of their day-to-day work items
• Works with business partners to ensure alignment between the ask and the output
• Perform peer reviews and sign-off for other team member's work to ensure adherence of defined standards
• Key player and leader in an Agile environment, participating in daily huddles, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
• Learn about First Command business processes by engaging business partners
• Mentors all team members in Salesforce best practices and standards
• Serve as Salesforce escalation point for other team members on technical issues
• Preparation and execution of test plans (unit, integration and functional)
• Leads effort to create and document deployment and release plans
• Leads Salesforce Community of Practices or other internal training opportunities
• Leads troubleshooting processes to determine root cause analysis

What skills/qualifications do you need?

Education

• Preferred - Bachelor's Degree
• Strongly Preferred - Salesforce Platform Developer Certification
• Preferred - Salesforce Integration Architecture Designer Certification

Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' Salesforce experience
• Or 6+ years' Salesforce experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Required - Extensive experience Salesforce Sales Cloud
• Required - Solid knowledge of Lightning Web Components
• Required - Solid knowledge of Apex Code / Web Services
• Required - Solid knowledge of Apex Triggers
• Required - Solid knowledge of SOQL
• Required - Solid knowledge of Salesforce DX
• Required - Solid knowledge of HTML5/CSS3
• Required - Experience with REST and SOAP services
• Required - Visio or comparable drawing tool
• Required - Ability to work alongside others and be a team player
• Required - Up to date with latest Salesforce programming trends, techniques, and technologies
• Preferred - Experience with Salesforce Marketing and Servicing Cloud
• Preferred - Experience with MuleSoft and Open API specification
