Job Purpose and Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Administrator - Salesforce Marketing Cloud to join the Appfire Marketing Operations Team. If you are experienced with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and have a passion for building compelling, multi-channel journeys to nurture and engage users throughout their lifecycle, we want to hear from you. Our team is working to further develop marketing programs and campaigns within Marketing Cloud to drive key business initiatives and share insights to support our strategic growth efforts.

What you bring: Working as part of Appfire’s Marketing Operations team, the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator will leverage their deep understanding of the capabilities and functionality of Salesforce Marketing Cloud to support the development of new initiatives, enhancements, operations, and production support for the platform in order to execute the company’s marketing strategies and campaigns to achieve its goals.
This role will heavily focus on the future roadmap of SFMC by collaborating with the marketing team, application product owners, and the SFDC Administrator & Salesforce Developer.Â
What you will do
- Continue the implementation and development of the Marketing Cloud for Appfire, working with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Work with business stakeholders to deploy all marketing cloud campaigns and journeys, including emails, landing pages, and distributed marketing
- User setup/deactivation, roles, permissions, and business units
- Oversee and maintain marketing cloud, including all data extensions, contacts configuration, and FTP work
- Work with business stakeholders to design and delivery of solutions in Email Studio, Journey Builder, Marketing Cloud Intelligence and mobile studio
- Work with Salesforce team to design and/or build integrations between Marketing Cloud and 3rd party applications or data sources
- Maintain documentation and training materials for SFMC.
- Conduct marketing team user training and actively partner with training teams to promote user adoption of Marketing Cloud
- Support other Marketing Operations campaign team members to design, build and execute data driven marketing automation journeys to communicate with Appfire customer and partner leads and contacts using the array of SFMC components.
- Responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders and then iteratively improving Appfire’s SFMC data models and architecture, including our technical documentation and internal processes.
- Own all relevant data extensions for email subscriber audiences and segmentation profiles, data hygiene and ongoing monitoring of data feeds.
- Participate in front-end development technical requirements scoping and execution of demand generation pages, working with the web development team and other cross-functional staff members and perform QA as appropriate.
What we would like to see
Required:
- Prior experience in Marketing roles.
- Ability to work with a team to design customer journeys, and associated data models..
- Extensive experience with Marketing Cloud Studios & Builders, most importantly Email Studio, Mobile Push, SFMC API, Data Extensions, Data Views, Automations, Journey Builder, Preference Center, Audience Management and Segmentation, Tracking and Reporting.
- Deep understanding, experience and ability to troubleshoot and resolve Mobile SDK, SFMC API or Automation triggered Email / Mobile Push Notifications issues.
- Experience building, deploying, and testing responsive CRM email, push notifications marketing campaigns.
- Ability to interpret performance data and insights to make iterative optimizations
to campaigns and tactics. - Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification
Added Value Skills:
- Deep understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud / Service Cloud.
- Experience training non-technical users in SFMC.
- Experience using Git or other version control software.
- Experience with Google Analytics (360)
- In-depth experience with Salesforce and marketing reporting
- Some hands-on experience of writing Server-Side Java Script code.
- Active in the Salesforce Trailblazer community
- Knowledge of 1+ of the 6 programming languages in SFMC: AMPScript, HTML and CSS, SSJS and/or JavaScript, SQL (andQuery Studio experience) or Guide Template Language)
- Experience working in a multinational organization spanning time zones.
- Detail oriented and can operate independently on specific tasks and duties.
- Bachelor's Degree in MarketingÂ
- Salesforce Email Marketing Specialist certificationÂ
