Salesforce System Administrator
Job Description
Dynamis is seeking a Salesforce System Administrator to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Individual and Community Preparedness Division (ICPD). This position will serve as the point of contact for Salesforce system requests and coordination with ICPD. The Salesforce System Administrator will identify and ensure that project and task objectives are clearly communicated and understood by ICPD and will identify and leverage techniques for effective solutions to challenges. The Salesforce System Administrator shall have a proven knowledge of Salesforce architecture, security, application, testing, and deployment for both Classic and Lightning with at least have five years' experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support ICPD to ensure that all digital resources are compliant with Federal, DHS and FEMA IT security requirements, backup activity, and system logs, including a database backup.
- Review the logs and security reports as well as any new or revised compliance guidance and reports on a monthly basis. Findings from these reports, associated meetings, and other metrics will be consolidated monthly for inclusion in the Digital Security Report (DSR) that is generated and managed by the Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
- Support continuous monitoring of critical security and compliance requirements, while identifying and leveraging opportunities for system improvement or remedies, as needed.
- Provide the Salesforce Login History Report to the ISSO and ICPD POC via email on a biweekly basis.
- Support the design and publication of new designs on these pages as well as manage the maintenance, editing, updates, and bug fixes for these pages. As part of this process, maintain/update a Public Facing Page Deployment SOP that includes roles, responsibilities, and timelines for ICPD staff, design contractors, and the ISSO team.
- Support ICPD in enhancing user experience and interface by increasing brand authority and improving the website's overall information architecture to make it easier for users to navigate, access and engage with ICPD's web information, products, and survey tools on the Salesforce platform community on fema.gov
- Support deployment and maintenance of pre-designed pages as well as tracking and implementing bug fixes. No design is required for this task.
- Conduct routine maintenance of the Preparedness Portal, which is managed and maintained by ICPD directly and contains several pages on the Salesforce Community Cloud platform.
- Remedy any issues with the Portal, identifying causes and cataloging the issues and remedies in the weekly report to ICPD, ensuring that the pages are properly functioning.
- Support the management of the third-party integration (e.g., Adaptus EZprotect) to scan customer data within the Salesforce environment. The integration identifies instances of potential malware, threats, and SPAM threats through the monthly security scans reporting.
- Support the removal of any threats within Salesforce based on the results of the third-party integration.
- Make provision for any updates to the Salesforce platform as issued by Salesforce.
- Provide ICPD with reports and assessments to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and/or provide recommendations to ICPD regarding current Salesforce-related reporting tools and methods. This includes review of new and revised tools or services available for analytics associated with the Salesforce platform and CRM.
- Support ICPD with non-custom reports and self-serve interface tools. The deployment of self-service analytics/reports tools will be easy-to-use, pre-scripted queries for anytime metrics with up-to-the-minute data and available to ICPD staff and others as identified. Reports shall be available to download from Salesforce in easy-to-use formats including PDF or Microsoft Excel.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree
- SCRUM Master certification
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience
- Proven knowledge of Salesforce architecture, security, application, testing, and deployment for both Classic and Lightning
- System ownership and administration subject matter expertise
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS FEMA suitability determination
