Sample Coordinator

About the Role:

Rent the Runway is seeking a Sample Coordinator to join the Fashion team. The ideal candidate will support and assist with day-to-day sample coordination supporting the Senior Sample Coordinator. The ideal candidate is extremely process-oriented with a keen ability to multitask and handle multiple requests.  This individual should be extremely organized with working knowledge of excel.

We are looking for someone who is a team player with the ability to work independently. Being able to problem solve to help come up with solutions is the key to success. Attention to detail, organization and strong follow-up skills as necessary.  This person is the point of contact between multiple key stakeholders so it is imperative you have excellent communication skills.  Most importantly, you will be responsible for all ordering and tracking of incoming and outgoing samples to support the needs of the business.

This is a temp-to-perm employment opportunity. Additionally, this is a hybrid role and will report to our studio in Manhattan. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a library of collections and inventory through an organized system of checking in and checking out product in a timely manner across all categories.
• Supports the creation of shot lists based on sample vs. stock projections and inbound warehouse deliveries.
• Manage requests from outside vendors inclusive of VPI requests and warehouse stock in a professional manner, track incoming and outgoing requests with a sense of urgency and attention to return dates for samples from brands communicating with the team sample returns.
• Monthly cycle scanning of the studio to keep track of every SKU in the studio.
• Clean, reorganize and make sure the space is restocked with garment bags, shopping bags, labels etc. ensuring inbound and outbound rails are in ready condition at all times.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Be a team player with a focus on collaboration.
• Introductory knowledge in excel.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Extremely organized and detail oriented.
• Sense of urgency to complete projects/ tasks.
