Summary: Lead to ensure daily operations are completed in a timely manner holding high quality standards to satisfy daily shipping requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for processing samples i.e., / press, table saw and autoclave.
- Responsible for staffing schedules.
- Responsible for meeting quality and productivity standards within the press, table saw and autoclave.
- Responsible for working in a cooperative, safe, and productive manner with managers and employees.
- Assume responsibility for performing assigned production and related production support functions.
- Maintain flow of inventory items into the press/autoclave inventory locations.
- Maintain flow of assembling/processing orders.
- Document keeping, in terms of quality, productivity and delivery.
- Detailed quality checks for products in process.
- Assume responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring to the correct person) production problems and discrepancies.
- Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with other leaders, employees, volunteers, and visitors.
- Maintain regular contact with other employees to correctly inventory items.
- Assist other employees as needed.
- Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Always work in a safe manner and contribute to providing a safe and secure environment for other employees.
- Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
- Ensure that work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
- Orders are prepared in a timely manner and are accurate.
- Inventory is processed, sorted, stored, and maintained appropriately.
- Documents, records, and reports files are appropriately maintained.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 2-5 years prior leadership experience.
- 2-5 years heavy machine operating experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions, and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of related computer applications (Word, Excel) helpful but not required.
Certificates and Licenses:
No certifications needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 6 to 8 associates (the number may vary based on the workload and work area. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, and resolving problems.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally.
- Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads in excess of 50lbs Occasionally.
- Must be able to work on your feet including, standing for the entire length of the shift, which are up to 10 hours.
- Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment, which includes frequently climbing ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
- Must be able to see / hear to visually and audibly acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, perform quality inspections, and equipment inspections.
- Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of the upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force.
- Must be able to push, pull up to 100 pounds of force on a regular basis, including moving pallets, carts, glass/plastic sheets, and boxes using a hand truck or other similar equipment.
Special Vision Requirements:
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
- Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
- Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
