SAP BASIS Technical Architect - Secret Clearance

Job Description:

MUST have Secret Clearance and be a US Citizen

General Purpose of Position:

This position analyzes computing requirements and consults on the change release process and will support all technical aspects of the SAP system landscape including design, installation, upgrade/patching, change management & Production support.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating across multiple teams and multiple releases.
• Collaboration with the IT and Business organization.Ability to Support and drive SAP system changes and activities around SAP / OS memory
• Provides design/technical advisory services to produce project deliverables for SAP system :ECC,SLT,BW,SCM,LiveCache,TREX,NWDI,MDG,Portal,DB2 ,
• Provides the accelerators, optimization, and automation of tasks
• Review of the integrity and completeness of the overall solution so that it is in alignment with this statement of work
• Must have experience in Disaster Recovery, High Availability
• Strong hands-on implementation and support experience working with latest releases for SAP ECC, SCM Webdispatcher, and BW with DB2 on HPE Service-Guard
• Strong knowledge of multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies (Global focus desired), in the areas of build and support for ECC, Portal, BW , SLT
• Good at SAP Single-sign on as well as Enterprise SSO
• SAP Netweaver administration and technical core tasks in Unix environment including SAP software installation, upgrade, applying Support Packages, patches, and fixes, installation of add-on software components, workload analysis, etc
• Supports the technical implementation of the SAP system landscape as it evolves (i.e., development, test, staging, and production) with In-depth knowledge in the SAP technical areas
• Design, implement, monitor, and optimize SAP landscapes and dependent technologies. Monitors and tunes system performance and workload. Manage and performs system refreshes; participates in the scheduling of refreshes as requested.
• Identifies needed system corrections and enhancements and recommends changes. Applies advanced system management principles, concepts, and techniques.
• Evaluates and recommend new hardware, software, tools, and utilities within the SAP environment. Understanding the customer's current and future requirements and developing relevant solutions. Ensuring agreed solutions are implemented correctly and on time
• Responsible for determining the final data migration approach and detailed migration plan, while working with business representatives to determine extraction and transformation rules.
• Provides input to the data cutover trial migration activities
• Responsible for the solution lifecycle within the project team
• Responsible for the different competency and capabilities delivering the technical transformation and provides compatible and integrated solutions and plans, considering technical and non-technical aspects
• Responsible for the integrity and completeness of the overall solution so that it is in alignment with this SOW

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of SAP BASIS experience desired.Need to be good at OS-DB Migration experience, Platform Migration experience, Homogeneous & heterogeneous system copy, DB2 based backup/restore.
• Need to have experience with Cloud Migration(At least one cloud Vendor)
• Good at storage layout, hardware load-balancer, Network side as well as SAP side.
• Experience in performing Hardware Migration with optimal down-time
• Experience and knowledge of Activate Methodology
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivating and be able to plan your own work.

Education and or Training

• Undergraduate degree required in math, computer science, engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus (preferred).
• Primarily Remote but require travel to client site after COVID situation improves. Normally, travel is around 20% of the time.
• MUST have Secret Clearance and be a US Citizen
