SAP Developer I

BASIC PURPOSE:

The SAP Developer I will be responsible for the development and support of enterprise-class applications. This position works across multiple teams within the IT organization including: BATL (Business Aligned Team Leads), Integration (PI/PO), Infrastructure, BASIS and project managers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:• Develop state of the art, enterprise-class ABAP or Fiori/UI5 solutions, whichever best meets the business requirements and is supportable and scalable.• Read functional specifications and develop corresponding technical specifications, partnering with senior team members when necessary• Develop detailed technical design documents based on business requirements• Keep abreast of new or changing SAP technologies and development practices• Manage development items through all the steps of the software development lifecycle• Communicate project status to management and provide insight on any current and upcoming issues• Escalate issues to SAP technical lead• Collaborate with project managers and business analyst to ensure development is on track and to resolve issues and provide root cause analysis for defects• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• Education:

o Bachelor's degree in Business with MIS or technology related degree (C.S.) • Experience:

o Solid knowledge of object-oriented software development

o Any software development background a plus, 2+ years' experience preferred

o SAP ABAP Development Experience a plus

o Familiarity with software development lifecycle

o Background in other programming languages a plus

o Experience with REST services and oData a plus

o Experience in SAP with the following modules a plus: ECC Core, FI, AP, AR, GL, SD, MM, WM, TM

o Experience with cloud platforms or SaaS a plus
