SAP FICO Architect

Job Description:

The role of the SAP FICO solution architect is a key component in providing thought leadership, analysis and design of tasks related to the development and management of a portfolio of business and IT solutions supporting the Finance organization. These actions support the enterprise architecture by development of technology solutions that meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. Key for this role is the understanding of the concepts of business goals, business objectives, business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams, business processes and their importance in solution architecture. Key in this role is the creation of deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of current state and future state business and system architecture. Solutions encompass business applications, business processes, data, technology, and infrastructure to enable defined business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creates and documents SAP solution designs, based on the translation of business and technical requirements to achieve business objectives.
• Contributes to creation of the strategic SAP roadmap and planning for the future S/4 HANA journey.
• Act as an internal consultant and thought leader to design, architect and deploy SAP solutions within the SAP FICO area.
• Translate overall business process requirements to SAP configuration or technical development to provide value added system solutions to meet or exceed business requirements.
• Guide and coordinate with external SAP resources that are assigned to ATI account for sustainment and project activities.
• Advise on the management of configuration and testing across the SAP environment.
• Collaborate cross functionally with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to ensure end to end process integration and consistency.
• Develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability, and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives.
• Lead and support project initiatives to expand the usage of the SAP solution to improve and expand processes across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with Master Data Management team to provide solution architecture input on strategy and initiatives to support management reporting requirements.
• Mentor business and functional team members to increase their competency in SAP in support of succession activities.
