Team description
The ERP team sits at the core of SumUp's Finance and Technology infrastructure, owning the SAP S/4HANA platform that underpins financial operations across 37 markets. As SumUp continues to scale β with IPO readiness on the horizon, new market rollouts underway, and growing complexity across tax, treasury, and revenue recognition β this team's work is more strategically important than ever. This is an opportunity for an experienced SAP professional to shape how finance processes are built and automated at a company that's genuinely growing fast, with real influence over how the platform evolves.
What you'll do
- Configure and customise SAP S/4HANA FI/CO modules, translating business requirements from stakeholders into scalable, well-documented finance solutions
- Collaborate with developers to automate finance postings and integrate SAP with third-party platforms, including banking systems, treasury management tools, and payroll aggregators
- Own complex configuration topics spanning global tax compliance, electronic invoicing across multiple markets, multiple ledger setup, budgeting, and revenue recognition
- Build and implement SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) dashboards and reports, giving finance teams faster and clearer visibility into business performance
- Support S/4HANA rollouts as part of SumUp's global expansion and IPO readiness work, including data migration, end-user training, and documentation
You'll be great for this role ifβ¦
- Advanced proficiency in SAP FI/CO configuration and implementation, with solid hands-on experience in SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA
- Strong finance domain knowledge across key processes such as tax configuration, electronic payments, bank statement processing, and revenue recognition
- Experience delivering SAP implementations across multiple markets or legal entities, with multiple ledger configuration being a significant advantage
- Fluency in English, with the ability to engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment, with a proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities without compromising quality
