SAP Finance Manager

The SAP Finance Manager is accountable for the end to end delivery of a portfolio of Finance, SOX and compliance related work. This includes requirements identification, design, development, testing, release and deployment and early life support. There is also a potential that third parties are involved in delivery, which will include significant supplier management and or vendor relationship management. This role requires advanced skills and knowledge, usually leading a team or being a highly skilled technical specialist leading complex projects.
Job Responsibilities

  • Manages efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives for the specified area of responsibility in Finance, audit and compliance. 

  • Leads the Finance Area to ensure performance standards are conducive to company standards and all goals and objectives are met in a timely and organized fashion.

  • Shares information cross functionally to improve workflow processes. Interacts with direct reports and peers in management / customers / vendors to share information and improve cross departmental processes. 

  • Manages problems and issues proactively, including timely resolution and the identification of remediation opportunities. Identifies and resolves systemic issues to prevent them from repeating.

  • Oversees the development of technical/business approaches and new or enhanced technical tools. Defines and implements consistent key IT key performance indicators in order to enhance the operational focus of the IT department.

  • Responsible for executing on functional and business goals for the group. Anticipates process centric, people centric, and operations centric ideas, issues, and opportunities to move the business forward.

  • Influences individuals within and outside the IT department. Prepares and presents reports to all levels of leadership and staff.

  • Configure SAP solutions to address finance and tax related business requirements.

  • Develops and leverages partnerships (and relationships) with internal and external stakeholders to meet business needs. 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects and deliverables with various stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in IT, Accounting, Finance, Consulting, Strategy and/or Analytics OR a High School diploma/GED and at least 14 years of experience in IT, Accounting, Finance, Consulting, Strategy and/or Analytics.

  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, including the executive level.

  • Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems

  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

  • Awareness of different accounting standards such as GAAP/IFRS

  • Experience leading cross functional teams.

  • Experience interacting at the executive level.

  • Significant experience of managing end to end delivery in an SAP environment, preferably in a large organization

  • Strong organization, change management & project management skills

  • Knowledgeable in North America Taxation and SAP Tax module

  • Minimum 5 years of experience on configuration of SAP financial accounting, general ledger, account receivables, account payable modules required

  • At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.

  • At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.

  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of leading delivery teams in a hybrid nearshore, offshore model

  • Expertise in multiple IT project delivery methodologies and processes

  • Strong commercial and supplier management skills

  • Experience of influencing senior stakeholders

  • Firsthand experience of a matrix management organization

  • Recognized Project Management qualification.

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work.  The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.  iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.

Hired applicant may be awarded Restrict Stock Units and receive annual bonuses pursuant to eligibility and performance criteria defined in the respective plan documents and policies.

$115,850—$184,307 USD
