PerkinElmer is building a new, global IT organization, and we are seeking senior leadership profiles to help shape and expand our teams, driving the future of our organization.

As part of this growth, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced SAP Lead Consultant to join our SAP IT team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and support of key SAP modules to ensure business processes are optimized and aligned with our goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage SAP projects, and provide deep expertise to enhance our overall SAP landscape.

Additionally, as a key player in establishing our global SAP IT team, you will be instrumental in recruiting and mentoring new team members, contributing to the development of a strong, future-focused organization.

Lead SAP Projects:

• Manage end-to-end SAP module implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
• Work with business stakeholders to define project requirements, goals, and deliverables.
• Design and configure SAP solutions based on business needs and best practices.

Business Process Analysis and Optimization:

• Analyze existing business processes and recommend SAP-based solutions to improve efficiency.
• Lead business process re-engineering initiatives and develop functional specifications for enhancements.

• Lead SAP Projects:

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other SAP module leads and business users to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules (e.g., CS, PM, PP, PPM, QM, SD, MM).
• Act as a bridge between the business and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Leadership and Mentoring:

• Recruit and build the IT SAP teams.
• Help build out the business service delivery model.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and SAP team members.
• Lead teams through the SAP implementation lifecycle, ensuring best practices and project management methodologies are followed.

System Support and Continuous Improvement:

• Support the SAP landscape by resolving system issues, optimizing configurations, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Lead post-go-live support and ongoing system maintenance.

Training and Documentation:

• Develop and deliver training materials to business users and project teams.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for SAP configurations, processes, and custom developments.

Stay Up-to-Date on SAP Innovations:

• Keep current with new SAP functionalities, trends, and tools.
• Advise on future SAP upgrades and enhancements, aligning with business goals.

Basic requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
• SAP certification in a relevant module (e.g., CS, PM, PP, PPM, QM, SD, MM).
• Minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in one or more major SAP modules.
• Experience leading at least two full-cycle SAP implementations as a Lead Consultant.

• Project management experience with a focus on SAP implementations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in SAP configuration, customization, and solution delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize business processes through SAP solutions.
• In-depth understanding of at least one major SAP module and its integration with other SAP modules.
• Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
