This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SAP MDG Technical Consultant in India.
This role is focused on designing and delivering robust SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) technical solutions that enable enterprise-grade data quality, governance, and process automation. You will work at the intersection of data engineering and business process design, building scalable MDG frameworks across core domains such as Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, and Material. The position involves hands-on development as well as collaboration with functional teams to translate governance requirements into technical solutions. You will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from design and build to testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. This is a highly technical role requiring deep SAP development expertise, strong problem-solving ability, and attention to data integrity. You will operate in a collaborative environment where engineering excellence and structured data governance practices are key priorities. The role offers the opportunity to directly influence enterprise data consistency and operational efficiency.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and implement SAP MDG technical components including data models, UI configurations, workflows, and BRF+ rules to support enterprise data governance processes.
- Develop custom enhancements and applications using ABAP, Web Dynpro, and Floor Plan Manager (FPM) to extend SAP MDG capabilities.
- Configure and support MDG data domains such as Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, and Material, ensuring accurate and consistent master data management.
- Implement data replication, validations, and derivations using Data Replication Framework (DRF) and rule-based workflows.
- Collaborate closely with functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in end-to-end implementation activities including requirement analysis, technical documentation, unit testing, deployment, and production support.
- Support full project lifecycle delivery from blueprinting through go-live and stabilization phases.
- 4+ years of experience in SAP MDG technical development and implementation projects.
- Strong hands-on expertise in ABAP, BRF+, Web Dynpro, and Floor Plan Manager (FPM).
- Solid experience in SAP MDG data modeling, UI configuration, workflow design, and system enhancements.
- Good understanding of Data Replication Framework (DRF) and enterprise data governance principles.
- Experience working with SAP master data domains such as Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, or Material.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and debugging skills in complex SAP environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA MDG is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and OData services is an added advantage.
