SAP Project Manager

Job Description:

At DXC Technology, we are continuing to expand our SAP business across the UK and Europe. As part of our growth, we are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on position focused on delivering SAP S/4HANA and ECC technical projects, with the potential to manage broader service lines (e.g., infrastructure) as well.

Due to the nature of our client accounts Security Clearance is required and for us to obtain this for you, you must be a British National and have resided and worked in the UK continuously for the last 5 years. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider dual nationals or candidates with OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) status at this time.

As a SAP Project Manager, you will manage end-to-end project lifecycles to meet specific client requirements and objectives. You will ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your role will require direct interaction with clients and project delivery teams, ensuring successful scope, schedule, financial, and quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and control of SAP S/4HANA (and ECC) projects from inception to completion.

• Ensure delivery of projects within defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

• Manage project scope, timelines, finances, and change management processes.

• Collaborate closely with customers to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.

• Monitor project progress, identify and manage risks, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.

• Prepare and present project status reports to internal and external stakeholders.

• Oversee resource allocation and budget tracking, ensuring effective use of project resources.

• Support continuous learning and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the project management function.

• Assist other project managers with coordination across the portfolio where necessary.

• Work within cross-functional teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in SAP project management, with hands-on involvement in delivering both SAP ECC and S/4HANA projects, including upgrades and technical implementations.

• Experience managing projects with budgets of £500k+ and delivery teams of 5-15 resources.

• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., SAP Activate, RISE, Waterfall, Agile) and use of project management tools.

• Effective communication and people skills, capable of working with diverse stakeholders, including IT teams, business users, functional consultants, and senior leadership.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively manage issues, and solve complex problems in a demanding environment.

• A continuous learner with a commitment to staying updated on the latest SAP technology and industry trends.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Relevant project management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or SAP Activate certification are a plus.

• Experience managing multi-disciplinary and multi-vendor project teams.

• Understanding of integration between SAP projects and non-SAP service lines (e.g., infrastructure).
