As a Security Consultant you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client’s organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Coordinates with technical teams to enhance Splunk monitoring capabilities within a large SAP environment. Possesses knowledge of Splunk SEIM tooling development monitoring best practices and architecture. Candidate will benefit from experience working around and large IT platforms like SAP ERP. Candidate will be a self-starter and able to drive progress across key tasks and high impact technology assignments. Functions as a technical expert in the Splunk realm and works with other technical teams to implement needed controls and monitoring capabilities using Splunk. Knowledge of FISCAM and NIST 800-53 controls is a plus.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Security+ or CISSP or similar IA certificate and Splunk Certificate required
- Demonstrated hands on experience with Splunk alert and query development
- Experience working with a large ERP system behind Splunk
- Experience with incident response RMF Controls cybersecurity frameworks
- 3 or more years SIEM experience with Cyber controls testing and/or vulnerability remediation
- Ability to communicate with IT professionals and SAP tier 3 users regarding SIEM alerts
- Experience in SAP modules
Must be able to clear a DoD Top Secret Clearance – US Citizenship required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering Science or Information Technology. Or 4 years of experience in a comparable assignment on an enterprise business system may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience dealing with Cyber/FISCAM Compliance
- Splunk certification – or ability to procure within 90 days of starting
- Knowledge of and experience with DoD and specifically Navy ERP
- Familiar with Navy and/or DoD IT architectures
- Federal experience
- Focus on customer service and responsiveness with sound customer handling skills
