What You'll Get to Do:
- Collect analysis and reporting requirements from subject matter expert teams
- Support various data validation and analysis projects, including data review, data clean-up, and preparation of project documentation
- Working closely with epidemiologists and data analysts to assist with conducting data analysis, prepare and document data requirements and conduct data validation for the automation of data extractions to be used in routine analytics.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Filter and "clean" data by reviewing artifacts and other indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize data needs
- Organize study files, including data and correspondence files;
- Provide analytic support to multi-disciplinary teams in order to accomplish public health research and program goals.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- Proven working experience working with PH data
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SAS, R. etc. - ability to write SAS code and use in a working context)
- Perform data quality assurance activities, including identifying and resolving any inconsistencies in data flow, data outside legitimate ranges, and illogical data responses by developing data quality reports and investigation and resolution of data anomalies or errors by using a combination of software packages including SAS, MS Access and Excel, and other software as warranted.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
- Highly prefer five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant experience, of which approximately five (5) years must be specialized in the areas of public health promotion and prevention utilizing public and private partnerships
