Satellite Control Systems Intern

Position Description:
Join Satellite Control Systems (SCS) as part of the Next Generation Network (NGN) development team. The candidate will have the opportunities to work on IT projects related to Intelsat next generation satellites.
Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will be working on backend application to support the deployment of the NGN applications. The application could be part of suite to support the NGN satellites bus or payload applications.
Preferred Qualifications: (in addition to the requirements below)

• Familiar with Python
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming Languages
• Web Development Skills are welcomed, but not required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Eligible candidates must be one of the following:
  • Part-time or full-time students who have completed 24+ credit hours (rising sophomores/juniors/seniors) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university; Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university
  • May 2025 graduate
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and maturity in the workplace
• Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite
• 3.0 GPA or above preferred

Summer Intern Program Description:

• Paid internship;12 weeks starting on Monday, May 26, 2025 through August 15, 2025
• Schedule - 40 hours/week, Monday- Friday, 9 - 5 or regular core hours
• Hybrid environment (minimum 3 days in office location)
