Anaplan is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Program Manager to join our team to help build out best-in-class program management capabilities for Strategic Initiatives aligned with and driven out of the Scaled Operations organization.
You’ll help drive cross-functional projects across the People organization and internal/external business partners. You will be joining a team of subject matter authorities who have a passion for improving the way we work and serving as “stitchers” to help assemble, assess and track various projects and programs.
Your ImpactAround HR Transformation:
- Explore new strategic opportunities in the course of managing critical initiatives to inform the future roadmap for growth and optimization of the People function
- Connect across people, process, and technology elements to drive efficient transformation in a thoughtfully sequenced approach
Around Program Management:
- Manage critical initiatives identified by the leadership team
- Frame and scope the problem statement, build requirements, enable resourcing, work with cross-functional partners (including leadership), identify dependencies, reduce risks and drive the initiative's progress
- Review and analyze all project approaches and plans across the portfolio to ensure continuous strategic alignment to the Business vision and strategy
- Manage and improve project management maturity and knowledge across teams
- Work with project leads to share guidelines, structure, templates, and recommended strategies for project planning, execution, success metrics, and reporting
- Meet with and review project status with leads on a weekly basis to confirm how the project is tracking against the plan, address issues/risks, and discuss ongoing and new potential interdependencies based on the portfolio landscape
Around Change Management:
- Identify and define the case for change related to proposed efforts to understand the scope and associated change impacts
- Drive communications strategy for the initiatives, qualitative and quantitative analysis of the program performance, and track/ensure program impact
- Develop communications approach and content for key initiatives
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, or equivalent program management environment
- Experience using knowledge and skills across multiple ongoing programs to inspire change, motivate teams and support to deliver initiatives
- Experience in successfully leading bold, strategic, and operationally complex projects with internal and external cross-functional teams
- Experience in formulating hypotheses, designing tests, and using problem-solving techniques to evaluate solutions
- Experience facilitating brainstorming sessions to gather requirements
- Experience in content creation and presentation skills and experience building and delivering executive leadership content
- Experience in quickly understanding the background, framing the problem, and going in ‘enablement’ mode to drive to a solution
- Comprehension of the broader Operations ecosystem and experience applying this awareness to a broader context to connect the dots
- Experience in operational excellence and process improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean
- Experience partnering with Policy/Operations/Program management leadership
- MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
