Scheduler/ Staffing Coordinator

Apple Valley Health Care Center is hiring a Part-Time Scheduler/ Staffing Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will organize and schedule appropriate clinical department coverage, including the master schedule, daily schedule and scheduling replacements for shifts. You will also perform HR tasks such as compiling employee files, training and scheduling employees.

This is a Part-Time, benefit eligible position working every other weekend and every other holiday.
Shift: Days

Scheduler/ Staffing Coordinator responsibilities:

• Coordinate schedule and staffing levels for the nursing department.
• Interview candidates for open CNA and HHA positions.
• Conduct reference checks and background checks for potential employees.
• Track continuing educational programs for staff.
• Complete daily budget report for all nursing hours.
• Track attendance and complete disciplinary action forms.
• Stock memory care units and care suites with supplies each week.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Scheduler/ Staffing Coordinator skills and requirements:

• 1-2 years prior staffing/scheduling experience highly preferred.
• Must have flexibility in scheduling including on-call hours.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Excellent customer service skills.
