Must have fingerprint clearnce card to interview (IVP) Must be available to start immediately Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Duties • Perform daily industrial cleaning tasks to ensure classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained. • Carry out floor care responsibilities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain clean and safe surfaces throughout the campus. • Provide porter services such as setting up and breaking down furniture, equipment, or event materials as needed. • Ensure restrooms are stocked, disinfected, and cleaned on a regular schedule, with immediate response to urgent cleaning needs. • Monitor and replenish cleaning and janitorial supply inventory; notify supervisor when reordering is needed. • Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemicals in accordance with OSHA and district safety guidelines. • Support emergency cleaning needs and participate in seasonal deep cleaning or special projects as assigned. Requirements • Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred. • Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus. • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is advantageous but not mandatory. • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
