School Custodian

Job Summary The Cathedral School is seeking a dependable and hardworking custodian to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities: • Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas daily. • Perform routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing. • Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal. • Monitor and restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. • Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for school events and activities. • Conduct minor repairs and report larger maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager. • Follow all health, safety, and security procedures to ensure a safe school environment. Qualifications: • Previous custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience in a school or similar setting is a plus. • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physical labor. • Successful completion of a background check is required. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $38,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year Physical Setting: • School Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
