Job Summary

[ Purpose & General Characteristics ]
Contribute to the development of new additives/mineral solutions/ formulation services/ new processes

[ Representative Activities ]
Conduct literature and Intellectual Property landscape evaluations in support of assigned projects or of potential disruptive technologies products and processes 
Contribute ideas/ data/ findings and comments to proposals, plans and other research development activities
Conduct in-house scientific experiments to develop proprietary and high value new technologies/products/applications/skill sets
Attend test trials at outside test labs for new developments.
Interpret, evaluate, and communicate research data and results for research projects - write research reports to document research results
Write Invention Disclosures/Reports, drafts Intellectual Property and assists in prosecuting patent applications
Provide technical support for initial testing of prototypes at customers
Manage one or several research projects with technicians, other scientists or external resources, including planning and budgeting supported by the project management tool
Participate in cross-functional teams for especially complex and new to Imerys projects and technology developments
Attend technical conferences, presents research papers and publishes research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals
Actively implement the safety procedures in the lab and ensure a safe and clean working environment
