We are looking for a Scientist - Assay/Process Implementation to be a part of the laboratory process engineering and automation team, which is responsible for the innovation, development, validation and implementation of new wet lab methodologies aimed at making our processes more robust and efficient.
What You’ll Do:
- Function in a small, autonomous team collaborating on and implementing new processes and improvements to existing processes.
- Build and maintain open lines of communication between R&D, clinical, product and all groups associated with process changes and launches.
- Coordinate the introduction of hardware and software into the lab workflow, allowing actualization of proposed benefits.
- Coordinate with lab staff to validate new methodologies and aid communication around last minute changes to new systems.
- Collaborate with operational excellence teams to aid investigations into non-conformances, perform/recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure successful technology transfer via process engineering input through the design process for requirements and IQ/OQ/PQ testing.
- Communicate clearly with laboratory staff and become familiar with protocols in order to fully understand the needs of the procedures.
- Identify areas that are error-prone and research innovative approaches for practical prevention.
Qualifications:
- Bach
- elor of Science in Engineering or Molecular Biology or a related lab discipline
- A strong desire to improve process and be a part of an ever improving organization
- Minimum 3 years experience in an automation engineering, scientist or NGS technologist role
- Highly organized and systematic
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to new processes quickly
- Both curiosity and humility are essential. This role will have to constantly challenge the status quo while simultaneously respecting the expertise and experience of our colleagues
