Scientist, Genome Engineering
Job Description
Even though biology is unpredictable, you believe we have the tools to engineer it in a predictable way. Your experience and insights help you solve difficult problems and you have mastered new techniques to overcome obstacles. You are passionate about using your skills to make a real-world impact and excited to work with a diverse and multi-disciplined team. Importantly, you have the courage to take on problems others shy away from, and the humility and flexibility to change your approach if biology refuses to comply. And if things don't go as planned, you are kind to others and yourself while troubleshooting and implementing a new course of action.
We are looking for a talented Scientist with knowledge and passion for ambitious synthetic biology projects and large-scale genome engineering for species conservation and de-extinction. We will be building tools and methodologies for engineering various cell types, and will develop workflows to manipulate large DNA fragments and genomes.
