Job summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our Research team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is an ideal position for someone with a strong background in cell culture, in vivo experimental methods, and readouts, and who thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and cross-disciplinary start-up biotech environment. A successful candidate will work in the laboratory and be responsible for experimental execution and data analysis for research studies supporting cutting edge therapeutic programs and platform discovery research in neurodegenerative disease areas. We are looking for an individual who has hands-on experience in stereotaxic surgery in rodent models, CNS tissue dissection, and downstream ex vivo analysis (RT-qPCR, western blot, and ELISA). Prior experience in drug discovery for neurodegenerative diseases, especially in Alzheimer’s Disease or other tauopathies would be preferred.  

 Position Specific Responsibilities:

• Design and execute rodent in vivo experiments: animal handling, test article dosing via various administration routes including stereotaxic surgeries, intravenous, intraperitoneal administration.
• Performing in life studies including dosing, blood or CSF collection, perfusion, tissue dissection and collection
• Conducting ex vivo tissue, CSF and serum analysis (ELISA, western blot, RT-qPCR, etc.)
• Performing data analyses and independence in data analyses and statistics as well as delivering effective data presentation to the research team
• Ensuring maintenance of industry-quality records to provide documentation

• A PhD degree with 0-2 years or MS with 8 years’ experience in the field of Neuroscience or related discipline is required
