We are looking for a talented and motivated Scientist I/Scientist II to join the Novel Capsid Discovery team in order to expand our receptor identification platform. This will involve identifying and characterizing cellular receptors utilized by Voyager’s expanding portfolio of engineered capsids in addition to applying targeted evolution screens to identify capsids with tissue/disease specific tropism.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement assays to identify cellular receptors of engineered capsids
- Validate and characterize identified capsid: receptor interactions through multiple assays including transduction, binding assays and the generation of stable cells lines
- Construct complex AAV libraries to perform targeted evolution screens
- Characterize the in vivo tropism of engineered capsid libraries
- Collaborate with a diverse team of wet-lab and computational scientists
Qualifications
- PhD in biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years hands-on wet lab experience
- Expertise in cell culture and aseptic techniques
- Proficiency in cloning design and techniques
