SCM Analytics Manager

Manager, SCM Analytics is part of the central analytics group in Samsung's Mobile division. This team is focused on providing business insights and recommendations with data. The candidate is expected to be hands-on and will be responsible to analyze Production, Sales and Inventory data and integrate disparate data for sales demand, pricing and promotions, sell-out performance, market insights, to create sales forecast. In addition, the candidate has to perform the risk and opportunity analysis and provide recommendations to the broader team. The candidate also is responsible to evaluate Production, Sales and Inventory data and provide optimal inventory and supply to manage the overall KPIs. The candidate also has to support the various reports for the assigned categories. The ideal candidate has strong business analytics experience, attention to detail, with an ability to leverage analytics solutions and articulate insights and recommendations to drive decisions.
Role and Responsibilities

• Integrate data, create dashboards, develop insights and recommendations for assigned product categories and customer accounts and conduct sell-out risk and opportunity analysis
• Analyze the promotions, marketing and channel actions to forecast the sales performance
• Leverage Production, Sales and Inventory data to provide recommendations on optimal selling, sellout and inventory to manage overall operational metrics for business planning
• Create/use operational and sales forecasting models to forecast sell-out with historical performance, price elasticity and promotional analytics
• Create presentations with compelling data driven story to share with leadership, cross-functional sales and business operations teams to provide insights and recommendations
• Adapt to a changing environment, flexing to support other SCM planning functions with analytics and reporting when needed

Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in data and business analytics for sales, supply chain operations or business planning functions
• Strong hands-on experience with excel is a must have, to create complex models consistently with attention to detail
• Strong business acumen and quantitative background (numbers focused) to analyze and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations
• Experience with forecasting sales and identifying insights with various methodologies
• Strong experience with Business Planning to interpret weekly changes to production, sales and inventory to provide recommendations and changes to achieve targets and KPIs
• Strong presentation skills to present the data and analysis with good Microsoft Power point capabilities and articulating insights from analysis
• Curiosity to leverage advanced analytics tools such as Tableau, machine learning building time series and regression models for forecasting
• Collaborative mindset to work with the leadership to continuously improve the methodologies and messaging based on changing priorities and business environment
• Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree in related field will be a plus.
• Prior experience in Telecom, Consumer Electronics, CPG and/or Retail industry is preferred
