About SFR3

SFR3 is a boutique real estate investment fund acquiring $2.5B+ of single-family homes by 2024. We specialize in renovating distressed homes, using software-driven operations to scale a large number of smaller markets concurrently. In just over 4 years, we’ve grown to 11k+ homes in over two dozen metros, and we’re continuing to expand. As part of our growth, we are looking for Scoping Managers to own the scoping process across a high volume of projects in each designated market.

Your Mandate

SFR3 is different. Unlike other funds, our software automates work orders, payments, and other back office drudgery. It also streamlines the scoping process. You’ll never spend another day manually writing scopes or researching pricing on every single line item. You focus on accurately scoping the home, and we’ll take care of the rest. We’re expanding rapidly, and we need talented Scoping Directors like you to put those tools to work. You will deliver dozens of scopes each week. Accuracy is everything - can you make it happen?

You’ll have to:

• Perform dozens of scopes each week - with pinpoint accuracy and original estimate/underwriting in mind
• Help manage local operations alongside the market leader
• Know status of every home in the market and be the “on the ground” source of truth
• Share feedback with the project manager on opportunities for improvement based on missed budget items
• Working with the Reno Manager who takes over the job post-scope to ensure a smooth handoff from scope to reno without material adjustments to the scope/budget

And you’ll need:

• An ownership mindset to all parts of the job; proactive, self-directed, and highly-motivated
• 8+ years of residential construction/inspection experience
• Knowledge of local and national building/property management codes
• Comfort using technology to manage the workload
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and HVAC

Compensation

• Extremely competitive salary, gas stipend + massive monthly bonus potential tied to accuracy!
• Earn up to $1,000 bonus per completion tied to accurate scope (30% of any realized profit on each home)!
