Scrum Master

This position is for a Scrum Master/Agile Team Coach in the NOV Rig IS department. The ideal candidate will have training, knowledge, and real-world experience in multiple agile frameworks, with extensive experience in Scrum. They will have a proven track record leading Scrum teams through an entire project lifecycle, agile coaching and organizational change.

The candidate will be joining an organization that has practiced in Scrum for 5+ years. It is important that the candidate remain flexible in their agile approach to assist the organization reach its goals, while also focusing on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coach teams on Scrum and other Agile frameworks
• Get team(s) to a high performing level
• Help develop standards and requirements for the agile process

• Integrate related methodologies within the IS department
• Provide training to teams, business owners/customers on the agile process
• Help teams navigate agile tools and software
• Encourage employee and stakeholder buy-in
• Practice as a scrum master

Skills Desired

• Strong understanding of Scrum
• Experience with SAFe, LeSS, Kanban is a plus
• Experience as a Scrum master
• Knowledge of Agile software development

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a relevant field

Work experience

• 6-8 years in Project Management and/or Software Development

• 6-8 years as Scrum Master

• Certifications - Certified in one or more of the following:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
• Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)

• PMI-ACP
• PMP preferred
